Readers rejoice!After about 25 years, the used book sale at the Modesto library is back. This sale will be Saturday, May 1, 10a-3p on the library portico, 1500 I St.Wide selection of gently used books available: fiction, nonfiction, hunting, fishing, cycling, animals, etc. The prices can't be beat, and all proceeds benefit Friends of the Modesto Library, which in turn benefits our very own downtow…

Welcome, everyone, to the Little Shop at the library.It's a new, fun shop along the west wall of the Modesto Library that sells book-related goods, unique gifts, and items visitors to the library might need, such as pens, pencils and paper.
