are there any moms on here with special needs children?
I was pretty shocked to see that no mom's have posted topics on here for special needs. I believe that speaking with other moms is very important. Relating to someone who is going through the same issues as you makes you feel like you are not so alone!

I understand that for some it is something you don't talk about. I totally get it. But for those of you who do feel this way, always know that there is someone for you to talk to when you are ready

i am new here to modmoms. my youngest child (#5) was born 4 months prematurely and has multiple issues related to his extreme premature birth. it has been a challenge and yet a blessing all rolled into one with him in our lives these past 7 years. he at this point is developmentally delayed and very small for his age. he also still struggles with a few physical issues that might not be apparent to the average person on the street. many of his critical medical needs have resolved as time and multiple surgeries has come and gone. at this point we are still daily challenged with him but all the same so grateful in the understanding that his challenges could be much more difficult for us all.
