We are in a note writing stage at our house. On top of begging, gripeing and occasionally singing our praises, the girls have taken to pen and paper.

Exhibit 1:

This note was written after I yelled at the kids for wrestling in Costco. And no, I am not exaggerating.  They were on the floor at one point. And no, I don't have boys.

Notice the use of the word jerk.  I have no idea why they picked that word.  That's not a word that we really use much.  I probably should have admited this as a dirty secret, but I usually like to use words with a little more get up and go.  And usually, the kids are in earshot.

Every one together now, "BAD MOMMY!"

Exhibit 2:

This note came during my down time on Friday when I wanted to curl up in the fetal position and die.  I contracted something which I was positive was the swine flu. I won't even rant about how you can't really be sick when you have kids. You still have to feed, dress and referee them.

And exhibit 3, of which I don't have a photo, took place in the car on Sunday while we were headed into San Francisco.  Abby and I had a entire written conversation about whether or not she could watch a DVD.

I laugh about these notes and cherish each one of them.  First of all, it appears public school is working and the girls are learning things.  Second, I just think it's cool that they write us notes.
