• To kick off National Child Passenger Safety Week, the Modesto Police Department will combine efforts with other Stanislaus County agencies to conduct free child safety seat checks TOMORROW.

• Events are scheduled at the following locations and times:
• Turlock: Safeway, 3501 Countryside Drive, 9 a.m.-noon

  Oakdale: Save Mart, 1449 E. F St., 9 a.m.-noon
  Modesto: Orchard Supply, 2800 Sisk Road, 1-4 p.m.
  Patterson: Save Mart, 1035 Sperry Ave., 1-4 p.m.

Nationally certified car seat technicians from various Stanislaus County law enforcement and fire agencies, the Keep Baby Safe Program and several other community organizations will be on site to assist parents and caregivers to make sure children are riding in the appropriate seat. Anyone who is unable to attend one of these events can make an appointment to have a child seat checked by contacting the Modesto Police Department at 342-9195.
