Need help with Modesto preschools
Greetings!
I am currently looking for a great preschool in Modesto. I am a very protective mother and have only left my two kids (3yrs/1yr) with my parents or my inlaws. I feel very apprehensive about dropping my child off with strangers and am looking for information and referrals for some local preschools. Since I am so particular about who and where I leave my kids, I have some very specific criteria that I want in a preschool:
- preschool only setting (no daycare)
-2-3 day/week program for a few hours a day
-fun, loving, caring, respectful enviornment
-a clean, safe, licensed facility
-toys and facility regularly cleaned
-affordable tuition
-strict policies about sick kids attending class
-prompt parental notification of known contagious illnesses/lice/etc. (prior to the next class session)
-great parent/teacher communication
-low student/teacher ratio
-experienced/credentialed teachers
-cheery enviornment with many toys/puzzles/learning activities
-parental involvement allowed or encouraged
If anyone knows of some local schools that have these specific attributes, I would sure appreciate hearing about them!!!

everything is very child-led and low pressure. It's not an academic prep school, but a place to play and learn, which was exactly what my son needed. He had a wonderful time there, and is still close friends with several of the students who were in his class back in 2001

I haven't been there in several years, but Modesto Parent Participation Preschool offers an old-fashioned nursery school experience. Parents take a few shifts per month in the classroom, and everything is very child-led and low pressure. It's not an academic prep school, but a place to play and learn, which was exactly what my son needed. He had a wonderful time there, and is still close friends with several of the students who were in his class back in 2001.
