Over already?
It seems like summer is over before it began. At least it feels that way.
I had big plans this summer. We were going to camp, hit the beach, hang out in San Francisco, go to all the MoBand concerts, introduce the girls to the greatness that is Wild Water Adventures and about a million other things.
Here it is August 4 and I've knocked off two things. Ack! How did this happen? Or not happen as it would seem.
I remember a co-worker telling me when I had Maddie that time would really fly by when they were both in school. I laughed. I couldn't imagine anything beyond late night feedings and diaper changes.
So, I'm officially apologizing for doubting that comment. It is absolutely true.
To make amends for my doubt, I've paid it forward to an acquaintance who has a new-ish baby. Take it all in. Every moment. Because, before you know it, she'll be 8 or 6 1/2 and losing teeth and you'll be wishing you had done more on summer vacation.
