Question of the Week: Generic vs. Name Brand
When you are cruising down the grocery aisle, do you buy generic products? Or is name brand the only way to go?

I'm kind of 50/50 on that I'd say. When I was still buying diapers, I agree wholeheartedly, you get what you pay for!
When it comes to foods that you tend to eat on their own, I buy name brand (i.e. canned fruit, crackers, or cottage cheese). But on items that are usually more of an ingredient, or are usually eaten "with" other things, I buy a lot of store brand, or generic items. Stuff like flour, butter, oils, I just don't see the point in spending the extra money!
I am all about the generic. Actually, I am all about the cheap, so I'll go with whatever's on sale. With some exceptions:
Pampers - worth the extra money
Ultra Charmin - though I watch for sales and try never to pay full price.
Baby food is another area I didn't cheap out. Anything else, though - toothpaste, pain reliever, paper plates - whatever has the lowest price.
definitely generics in the pharmacy aisles, here too!
