Question of the Week: A mom and a Vice President?
Gov. Sarah Palin is the second woman in United States history pegged as a running mate. Many are debating whether or not she can be a good mom and a good Vice President. She faces many of the same challenges working moms face plus a few extra, a pregnant teenager and a baby with special needs. What do you think? Join the discussion and share your thoughts.

Regardless of anyone's political views, I DO think it's possible to do a well at both things. It's not like she's swapping being a SAHM for VP, as she's already a Governor, so she MUST be accustomed to a fairly heavy workload (professionally) already, and would know how to balance the family workload by now. (And, SAHM's please don't take the above to sound like being a SAHM is "easy" because I KNOW it's not--merely comparing her "professional" goals!) :o)
I don't think anyone can truly judge they type of mother she's been. I feel sorry for the criticisms she and her family have received for having a pregnant teen daughter. While we can TRY to instill values and morals in our kids, they're going to do what they're going to do to a certain extent anyhow. I'm by no means making excuses--I just know how I was at 17 LOL and my parents were strict/catholics and looking back, I know they did the best they could and it WAS "good enough".
I wish her, and her entire family the best of luck and success in all their endeavors!
