Since Bella is an only child, and we don't have a ton of family here, I wanted to make Easter memorable for her as much as I can. This year we made our first Easter Egg pinata. It was paper mache over a balloon, then tissue paper glued over it. We filled it with candy, and she broke it all by herself. It was so fun to watch her excitement, from making it, to finishing it, to breaking it! It was a couple days process, but well worth it. We will definately do this every year to come.
We usually just color eggs and go to a local egg hunt. Now that Keith is older, we're going to try the empty tomb cookie recipe. He's also picked out a craft from Family Fun to try.
I realized this year, that we didn't really have any spring/easter traditions, other than the typical dyeing eggs, etc. So we decided to make Daffodil Hill a new one. I took my daughter up there a couple weekends ago and it was beautiful--we both really enjoyed it.
Oh! Almost forgot, we DO have the tradition of the first pedicure of the year, haha!! Thats usually one of the first weekends in May, when we also go sandal shopping!
