Question of the Week: The Superbowl
It's about time for the Super Bowl. Is this a big family event for you or do you find something else to do with your time that day?

a couple of years ago a few ladies from work got together on super bowl sunday to watch commercials lol! It was chit chat and eat and visit and vent during the game and then pay attention during the commercials. this year i'll probably just take it easy. son and hubby will watch the game for sure.
When I was a kid, Super Bowl Sunday was a pretty big deal in our house. A great excuse to eat junk food all day. My mom would make these cheese balls with olives in them. Oh, man - I can still taste 'em. Now, it depends. If my husband is interested in a team, like last year, it's serious Game Day, and he doesn't like to be around a lot of distraction. Me, I am entertained plenty by his antics and creative cussing. If he has no team in it, it's party time.
When I lived in Maine, I would watch it with friends and family, but it was always more about the food and camaraderie than the game. My husband and I haven't had a TV since we've been married, so it's a moot point. I don't have my kids this weekend, and on Superbowl Sunday my husband will have worked a midnight shift, so I assume I'll be working on a freelance article while he sleeps. I don't even know who's playing this year...

it is probably the only day the entire circus act is into football. any other Sunday during football season find me as the only one following the games. this year my hometown team is playing (again) in the Super Bowl and, oh yeah i am excited and waving The Terrible Towel. while most of my family will be watching the game and filling up on lots of Super Bowl style junk food, i will be at a dance competition elsewhere watching my youngest daughter score more platinum awards...oh the sacrifices!
The TV will certainly be set to the Superbowl- but now that you mention it, that would be a good time to do a couple of scrapbook layouts instead!
