A reality check
Is it just me or does it feel like bad news is suffocating us right now? 401Ks are in the toilet, people are losing their jobs, and even my daughter's public school is asking for donations of paper.
You think it can't get any worse and then reality slaps you in the face. Yes, it can get worse.
Shawna Kilbert is 33; just one year younger than me. She too has two little ones she is raising and a doting husband she is partnered with.
At one point she probably had all the same worries that I have right now but that was before she found out she had cervical cancer. And that was before she was told she only had months to live.
So I pass along this face slap to any of you who happen to be pessimistic, incessant worriers like I am. Here is the latest on her battle with cancer and how she has come to terms with her future.

That is so sad :( I hope there is a miracle for her!
I know you mean about bad news being everywhere. It seems like every time I look at my blog roll, there's another sad story, a home lost, a layoff, or worries about those things. I'm very grateful for the good things in my life.
