Jide Trading Recalls Toy Military Figure Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Military toy figure

Units: 2100

Importer: Jide Trading, Inc., of Commerce, Calif.

Hazard: The surface paint on the toy contains excessive levels of lead violating the federal lead paint standard.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The mini military toy set is packaged on a blister card and includes a male military figure about four inches in height with various accessories.

Sold by: Dollar Stores and other discount stores from November 2008 to April 2009.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and contact Jide Trading for a full refund or replacement toy.
