Sesame Street - who are these people?
Okay, I'm not ashamed to admit it: I turned on the TV the other day for my 14-month-old son. I put on "Sesame Street" to see if it would interest him at all. I have lots of wonderful memories of watching Cookie Monster and the Count and Bert and Ernie and - my favorite - Oscar the Grouch.
What I didn't expect was to see all these new faces. I thought I was hip because I knew who Elmo was. To me, he's "new." But there are a bunch of others - someone named Rosa, and something called Telly that looks like a sofa. What is this Zoe thing? Where is Kermit? Where is Snuffleupagus? Where is my childhood?
Gosh, if you can't trust "Sesame Street" to remain constant, what can you trust? Next you're going to tell me they're not running "The Electric Company" anymore...

And then there is Abby Cadabby, who I guess isn't that new anymore. She came out about 5 years ago. But it was new to me at the time. It was weird for me to see new faces too...the old ones still show up though on occassion.
