She baked ...
Sometimes when you least expect it, your kids can just surprise the heck out of you. My youngest daughter lives in Redding and spends her time working full time, attending graduate school and if she has a few extra minutes, sleeps. So when we visited her recently I was glad to see that the cold she had been fighting for over 3 weeks had finally gotten better and she looked fairly well-rested.
Since we were just a few days shy of my upcoming birthday, she surprised me with a cake... a homemade, cracked the eggs, used the beater, baked it herself, delicious cake!
It's amazing to think that after years and years of my baking cakes and meticulously decorating them with Care Bears, Barbies, Transformers and all kinds of sports themes, this cake with it's twinkling candles was just for me... and made special by my daughter.
Yummy cake baking, another rite of passage!

It is very special for kids if their parents is giving all the efforts they have in trying to do something about the kids for example baking, if your kids loves pastries ,cake, bread you can do this to make them fell special.

I baked my mom a sherry cake a few years back. The best part was my grandma - who no longer drank - loved it and ate so much she got tipsy. We knew this because she asked my husband to "goose" her so she could get off the couch.
I don't think I ever baked my mom a cake. I'm terrified about what that says about me...
