The school year is winding down and the kids are beginning to bounce off the walls. One morning spent volunteering in Abby's class was enough to tell the story.  These kids, and I suspect parents and teachers too, are ready for summer to begin.

In my house, bedtimes have started to inch up, swimming has become a nightly activity and dinners have gotten lazy.  Wait, actually dinners have been lazy for a while so I can't really blame that on summer fever.

Abby announced on Monday that there is no more homework assigned for the rest of the year.  And Maddie is wrapping up preschool with a graduation next week.  Not to mention my teacher friends are posting Facebook statuses counting the days. 

It's a yearly ritual that is beginning to cycle again.  Summer is in the air and I can't wait!
