Supporting Important Causes
One of my goals for 2010 is to serve more. No, not serve my family, believe me, I already do that. I mean volunteer more, donate more, and support more local causes. I want my kids to learn the value of helping others and to be thankful for all the blessings in our lives.
Here is a perfect event that I thought some of you would be interested in...Henry's March.

Bee columnist, Jeff Jardine wrote about Henry a couple of years ago. Henry has Apert Syndrome. His fingers and toes were fused together at birth and he has cranial abnormalities; all of which have required multiple surgeries.
Henry's March is a 5K race. There will also be a kids run, 1 mile run and a fun mascot run. I plan on participating with my girls this year. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Children’s Craniofacial Association
I talked to my girls about participating and showed them some of the photos that ran with Jeff's column. They were onboard immediately to help out.
Not only is it a great way to get your family out of the house and doing something active but you get to help out a worthy cause. I hope to see you there on March 7!
