Tales from First Grade: Homework
Should I be concerned that I can’t make heads or tails of my daughter’s homework folder?
I called a friend in panic tonight after reading through Abby’s folder for the 14th time, still unable to make heads or tails of the assignment. And it isn’t even math.
I don’t know what I’m more frustrated about; the fact that the teacher handed out confusing instructions or the fact that I can’t figure them out.
I finally called in the troops and had my husband read the instructions but he couldn’t even help.
We ended up taking a stab at it. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong. Sue me.
We tried. Isn’t that the goal?

These are adorable shoes. I would love it if my 3 year old daughter would wear sandals. She only wears her naot shoes. I can convince her to wear tennis shoes if it is raining NS0-502//642-647//N10-004//640-721//156-215.71//N10-005//642-447//312-50v7//1Y0-A19//

First grade was the hardest for us. Her first time having real homework, often with little instruction.I had to go through first grade all over again just to figure out what the teacher wanted. But don't worry, you'll both get the hang of it quickly and second grade is actually easier!! LOL
If the instructions are too unclear, call, email, or send a note to the teacher. Most are good about getting back to you the same day.

Thanks for letting me know there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I never thought first grade homework would be an issue!
Our kindergarten homework is 20 minutes of reading a night. I don't know about your little ones but a few minutes into it and his attention span is gone. Seventeen minutes of singing (by him not me), jumping on the bed and finally threats of no t.v until your 20. And this is supposed to teach him.... what?
You think those darn homework folders are a problem now, just wait til about spring time when they are barely connected at the bottom and the sides and they have more wrinkles, crinkles and tears than you could have ever imagined.... oh the days of elementary school....
