I love the summer because there's always a birthday party or two planned for EVERY weekend. It's a great way for us to hang out with family and friends. It also allows the kids to do new and exciting things. Today...the 4th of July, we are headed to a birthday party for a 1 year old. My co-worker/friend's daughter was born on the fourth. The hardest part about getting 5 kids ready for an outing is getting 5 kids ready for an outing AT ONCE. It's been 2 hours and we're still missing shoes. I've begged my husband to pick out the clothes and shoes in advance so we don't delay any more than we need to. Last night we gave them baths and showers.  Being prepared would definitely help, but it won't stop delays. Once we think one of them is all ready and set to go they turn around and spill something on themselves or start fighting and have tears in their eyes. Every day is a battle.Hubby finally found all the shoes. Time for teeth brushing and getting their bathing suits ready. We're headed to Modesto reservoir.  Wish us luck.
