Wait - where did summer go?
Why is it that just when I really feel ready for summer to begin that it's ending? My stepdaughters start school in a week - one week! Never mind that with all their activities and practices it doesn't seem like they get much of a vacation as it is.
I'm not ready for summer to be ending! I need more lazy days in the pool. I need more time at the beach - can it be we've really only gone ONCE this year? I need a family vacation that's more than an overnight trip here or there. I need late evenings, the sun just starting to set, playing outside with Nicholas while catching up with my neighbors.
Really, I just need a few more weeks. Is that so much to ask?
