I came home yesterday to find Grandma very excited. It seems Nicholas said "Grandpa." "He didn't have the 'd' in it, but it was definitely Grandpa," she said. She thought she got it on tape after calling her house - for said Grandpa - and getting the answering machine.

We've been a trifle concerned about the few words Nicholas has at this stage, so any new word is great news. Last evening, I asked Nicholas if he could say "Grandpa." And he did! Well, it came out more like "Bapa" but I heard "Grandpa." I am betting my dad heard something more like "Well, hello, there, Grandpa, how are you? Would you care to go fishing?"
