What do you do when your Valentine is half way around the world?
What happens when your special Valentine is in iraq, how do you manage to hang on. I'm trying to home school a seven year old and run a great shop and hang on to the memories of your husband of dad. The father of your children. The hero of the family. How do you keep going with him gone?

Gosh, this is tough. I've never been in your situation. But I would suggest that if you have any friends or family around, you lean on them for help. Or if you go to church, there might be some support there. Maybe let someone babysit for a couple hours so you can go out with a friend, or just sit in a cafe and read a book. As far as your husband, can you e-mail him and keep in touch that way? He probably appreciates hearing about your adventures at home, because I'm sure he misses you guys, too. And for a practical trick to count time until he gets home, I would suggest making a chain out of something like paper or maybe paper clips. I did this when I was pregnant and on bedrest. It seemed like forever until I'd get to where I needed to be, but I was surprised how quickly those paper clips added up. I hope any of that helps.
