The white trash 3 - ring worm, pink eye and lice. It's a joke my husband I have frequently made. He's never had any of the WT3 but I've had two of them and I believe I am half white trash in my lineage, so I feel like I can speak from a place of knowledge on this topic.

Nothing can send the willys up and down my back or draw a shrek from my lips like those three things. 

I've lived through head lice myself, twice.  The last time was many years ago, the week before my wedding.  Yes, you heard me right.  I was an ADULT with head lice.  It's a long story and it involved a cover-up conspiracy involving my sisters and my mom.  But I won't unload all of the nasty laundry here.

Pink eye is another one I've lived through, muliple times, thanks to my kids and their playmates at daycare.  We went through one phase a few summers ago when pink eye was passed around at my daughters' daycare multiple times and got passed around my house a few times as well.  Doug was the only one to come out unscathed.  Which is impressive and irritating all at the same time.

So I muffled a scream today when I heard that one of the WT3 had reared it's ugly head with a friend.  I immediately had flashbacks.  Chalk it up to PTSD.

So please excuse me while I run and wash my hands for the 100th time and get the sheets and towels into the laundry.
