So Santa brought us a Wii and a Wii Fit for Christmas (Santa was pretty gullible this year and went whole hog on the system). We didn't hook it up for weeks and had pretty much decided to - er, send it back to Santa. But my stepdaughters' electonically minded friend was with us this weekend, so we had her plug it in. And we are addicted! I am not a video game fan - in college I used to get yelled at for shooting the food in the one game we all played together. Still haven't figured out how I did that. But this weekend, stuck inside by the weather, we spent the days cheering each other on as we skied, bowled, played tennis and rolled down the river in a bubble (can't explain that one). Even Nicholas got take part - my husband did the slalom holding onto him.

All in all, it was way more fun than watching a movie. It's not going to replace "real" activities, but I am a Wii believer. And now I'm off to try and better my ski jump mark.
