Call me an old lady waiting to happen...I don't care...go ahead. A passion of mine is knitting-I find it really relaxing and satisfying to create hand made items. Scarves, socks, afghans, I just even made a little felted coin purse. I'm addicted... I admit it. I love really expensive, pretty yarn that I can't afford-think Carrie Bradshaw's addiction to shoes. I was completely and totally CRUSHED to find out that The Paper Habit in McHenry Village, Modesto is "retiring" their beautiful yarn selection. I stopped in today and bought yarn and needles at unbelievable reduced prices. Lucky for me, but so sad for the knitting community of Modesto. If I'm mistaken please let me know-but is there another place in Modesto to buy really nice yarn? I haven't been happy with the selections at JoAnn or Michael's. A clerk at The Paper Habit told me to e-mail the owner about my yarn sadness. I think I'll drop Kathy a line. If any of the rest of you out there would too, maybe she'd agree to save a corner to cater to us that have the YEARN FOR YARN.  paphab@sbcglobal.net
