My girls spent tonight watching President Obama take the oath of office and listening to his speech.  Not because they could fathom what he was saying but because I want them to remember, even if it grows blurry with age.

The girls are genuinely excited about what today means.  They don't understand all the little things about today but they understand that President Obama is a dream come true for many Americans, especially African-Americans. 

After watching the days events, they asked if they could draw pictures for the Obamas.  I was struck by Abby's drawing in particular.  She drew a picture of President Obama with the words:

Your words are clear.  Good Luck!

Wow.  I couldn't have said it better myself.  It never ceases to amaze me what comes from the mouths of babes.
